There may be some people say this isn't DSBM but in my view, this is a fusion of many musical genres.

Unlike stereotypical DSBM, these songs have guitar solos and tempo changes, very heavy riffs. I guess that this is "Progressive DSBM".

My favorite track is "Believe". The guitar solo part, and the pre solo is extremely impressing. Even though the first half is heavy and a bit Djenty, the solo is sad, beautiful, magnificent!! Favorite track: Believe.

Jordan Vauvert Yu nous laisse à peine le temps de nous relever du double album Dream and Reality qu'il sort quelques mois plus tard Light in the Darkness. Fidèle au concept de double sens, on comprend vite que la lumière n'est pas forcément celle qu'on imagine. Cet album agit comme une corruption : les titres comme "Change Your Mind" ou "Believe" sont là pour mettre en scène des idées obscures qui nous poursuivent. Le DSBM s'allie avec des moments énergiques dont le but est de nous piéger comme des insectes. Favorite track: Change Your Mind.

Comme une impression que les meilleurs albums de Sadness sont ceux avec des arbres sur la pochette (je ne me suis jamais remis de l'interlude au piano de Wounded Solitude). La production sur Rain est très claire sauf pour la voix de Damián Antón Ojeda qui surgit par bourrasques, un peu comme celles qui arrivent pendant les périodes de pluies. Les instruments sont tous accompagnés d'une réverbération du plus bel effet. Rain est une libation et une inondation en même temps. Juste si émouvant... Jordan Vauvert

Dans The Density Parameter, Mesarthim reprend tous les ingrédients qui font leur marque de fabrique : des pistes assez longues au rythme énergique (très palpable sur "Recombination" par exemple) et jouant sur des structures cycliques, un chant qui erre parmi les étoiles... Les ambiances sont prolifiques mais elles changent la donne : gracieuses, certes, mais surtout plus mélancoliques qu'autrefois.
